Spain adds new electric‑vehicle charging stations in Alfàs del Pi and Malaga

The municipal council of l’Alfàs del Pi completed the installation of two public electric‑vehicle (EV) charging points, one at the entrance to the Faro de l’Albir and another in the parking area of the Casa de Cultura. The €14,798.30 investment was fully financed by the EU NextGenerationEU recovery plan under the municipality’s tourism sustainability initiative. Councilor Dolores Albero said the project "is an example of how EU funds translate into concrete improvements for the municipality" and will serve residents and visitors in high‑traffic areas.

In Andalusia, the first charger of the CITI programme was inaugurated in Alameda, Malaga. The scheme plans to deploy 30 chargers across 28 municipalities with a total budget of €531,432, accompanied by a mobile app and web platform for users. The launch, attended by regional innovation director Nieves Valenzuela, also introduced the ARI 2030 plan for a smarter, more sustainable territory. Both projects aim to expand public EV infrastructure and promote sustainable mobility in Spain.
