Spain advances audiovisual industry developments in Castilla-La Mancha and Galicia

The regional government of Castilla-La Mancha has moved forward with the development of its audiovisual hub located in the ‘Ciudad del Cine’ in Toledo. The official publication of the terms for the concession of the hub marks a significant step, with the space to be managed for a period of 50 years, with a possible 25-year extension. The project, which has seen investments of approximately eight million euros for structural consolidation and urban development at the Parque de Polvorines, aims to boost the regional film ecosystem, generate employment, and strengthen the area as an audiovisual destination.

In Galicia, the film industry has reached a new milestone with the launch of Paper Moon, the first film sales agency based in the region. Founded by Alberto Díaz and Ana Camacho, the agency aims to manage international sales and festival distribution for films directly from Galicia. By handling sales locally, the agency seeks to strengthen the regional audiovisual fabric and eventually facilitate pre-sales for projects produced or co-produced in Galicia, reducing reliance on external European agencies and public funding.
