Spain advances healthcare through 3D printing and precision medicine
In Catalonia, the Consorcio de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, and Hospital del Mar have launched a collaborative project to advance 3D printing in healthcare. Operating out of a 1,000 m² space at the CZFB 3D Incubator, engineers and technicians will work with clinical teams to develop customized medical solutions. The initiative aims to provide 3D-printed models for surgical planning and custom-made surgical guides and pieces.
In Valencia, Ascires Grupo Biomédico has inaugurated its new hospital, focusing on a care model centered on precision medicine. The facility integrates scientific knowledge, technology, and innovation to provide personalized, less invasive patient care. The opening event included various institutional, academic, and business representatives from the Valencian Community.
