Spain allocates 40 million euros to boost AI for startups and SMEs
Red.es, an entity under Spain's Ministry for Digital Transformation and Civil Service, has launched an initiative to allocate up to 40 million euros to promote the development of artificial intelligence models for startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Through the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, the program seeks to establish collaboration agreements with entities to develop AI-based use cases that address real business problems. Each agreement is expected to generate at least 30 use cases, with at least 15 of these being generalized for wider use across the productive sector.
Complementing this funding, the ‘AI Week’ is being held across the Acelera pyme office network from September 21 to 24. This initiative involves 54 offices across Spain conducting 146 activities, including workshops, webinars, and expert sessions, to help businesses integrate AI into areas such as productivity, automation, marketing, and data analysis.
