Spain allocates cultural heritage subsidies to Tarragona

Under Royal Decree 614/2026, the Spanish Ministry of Culture has approved direct subsidies for 2026 aimed at preserving cultural heritage and supporting the arts. The province of Tarragona is a significant beneficiary of these funds.

Key allocations include 350,000 euros for the Tarragona City Council to fund interventions on the city's Roman wall. Additionally, the Colla Vella dels Xiquets de Valls will receive 250,000 euros for the rehabilitation of its social premises, while the Nens del Vendrell will receive 25,000 euros to renovate their headquarters.
