Spain and Algeria strengthen bilateral ties in New York meeting
Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares met with his Algerian counterpart, Ahmed Attaf, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York to strengthen bilateral ties. The meeting focused on deepening cooperation in key sectors such as energy, trade, and economic partnership.
Both officials discussed preparations for the upcoming High-Level Meeting (RAN) scheduled to take place in Spain this October. This summit, which will include a business forum, follows a previous visit by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to Algiers in July.
In addition to bilateral relations, the ministers addressed regional and international issues, including the situation in the Sahel and developments in the Middle East.
