Spain and Portugal enhance cross-border mobility and technology integration
Iberdrola | bp pulse and Electromaps have announced a partnership to facilitate electric mobility between Spain and Portugal. The agreement allows Spanish drivers to use the Electromaps app to locate, activate, and pay for charging sessions within the Iberdrola | bp pulse network in Portugal. This integration aims to remove barriers for tourists, private drivers, and professional fleets traveling across the border.
In a separate regional development initiative, the Castilla y León Supercomputing Center (Scayle) is participating in the ‘Quantum Iberia’ project. Funded by the European Union, this program seeks to drive economic and social development along the 1,234-kilometer Spanish-Portuguese border. The project focuses on integrating quantum technologies and artificial intelligence to support sectors such as healthcare, cybersecurity, energy, and agribusiness.
