Spain announces election subsidies for November 29

The Official State Gazette (BOE) has published the subsidy details for political parties participating in the upcoming elections on November 29. According to the Ministry of Finance, parties will receive 21,167.64 euros for each seat obtained in either the Congress of Deputies or the Senate.

Additional funding includes 0.81 euros per vote for Congress candidates, provided at least one member of the candidacy obtains a seat, and 0.32 euros per vote for Senate candidates who secure a seat. Electoral spending limits for both chambers will be calculated by multiplying the number of inhabitants in the relevant constituencies by 0.37 euros.

Parties will also receive subsidies for direct mailing of ballots and propaganda. Specifically, 0.26 euros per voter will be allocated in constituencies where a party has presented a list for both the Congress and Senate, provided the candidacy successfully forms its own parliamentary group. These specific mailing subsidies are excluded from the established electoral spending limits, provided the expenses are properly justified.
