Spain Boosts Inclusion: Almería Disability Summer Camps and Talavera Business Equality Initiative
The Provincial Council of Almería is backing the second edition of inclusive summer camps for people with disabilities, organized by Fundación Los Carriles and Asociación Mundo de Todos in Armuña de Almanzora. The program will serve 43 participants between late July and August, offering 24‑hour accommodation and daytime care, and aims to provide respite for caregivers and promote community participation. The inauguration was attended by provincial deputy for Equality Lorena Nieto, mayor Pedro Guerrero, foundation president Diego Martínez Cano and manager José Antonio Antolín.
In Talavera de la Reina, the municipal gender‑equality office announced a project to strengthen equality mechanisms in the business sector. The plan includes the XVIII edition of the “Talavera Igualdad: Empresa” award (applications open 1 Sept – 6 Nov 2026), an online training session on 29 Oct for managers on workplace equality, and a series of awareness campaigns delivered via email, social media and the Centre for Women’s website. Technical support for companies will be provided by the Centre for Women.
