Spain defeats Germany 2-1 in Field Hockey World Cup

The Spanish men's field hockey team, known as the RedSticks, secured a 2-1 victory against Germany to begin the second phase of the World Cup. After a period of German dominance in the early stages, Germany took the lead in the 26th minute.

Spain responded just before halftime when Chefo Basterra converted a penalty stroke to equalize. Following the break, the Spanish side increased their intensity and pressure. Basterra secured the win in the 50th minute by capitalizing on a rebound following a save by the German goalkeeper.
