Spain denies existence of contingency plan against Morocco

The Spanish government, via the Moncloa, has categorically denied reports regarding the existence of a contingency or emergency plan directed at Morocco. The denial follows claims made by the program ‘Mañaneros 360’ on the public broadcaster TVE, which suggested that Madrid was preparing measures to deter Morocco in the event of a new migration crisis.

Government sources stated that no studies, reports, or official mandates have been commissioned regarding such a plan. Following the broadcast, the initial message was removed from social media, but the information had already circulated through various Spanish and Moroccan media outlets. The clarification comes as Spain and Morocco maintain strategic relations concerning security cooperation, economy, and migration management.
