Spain dominates September travel bookings as Iberia Express sponsors gaming festival

Spain is emerging as the top travel destination for September, accounting for 43% of total bookings according to eDreams data. National destinations dominate the demand, with Tenerife ranking as the most reserved destination, followed by cities such as Rome, Paris, Palma de Mallorca, Madrid, Ibiza, and Gran Canaria.

In the context of regional tourism, Iberia Express has announced its role as an official sponsor of the Gran Canaria Experience (GCX 2026). The festival, scheduled for September 2–6 at the Alisios Shopping Center, is a major event focused on video games, e-sports, and urban culture. It is expected to attract over 170,000 visitors. The airline aims to support the event by facilitating the arrival of international professionals, creators, and competitors to the island.
