Spain expands athletics team for World Road Running Championships

The Spanish athletics delegation has been expanded for the second edition of the World Athletics Road Running Championships, held in Copenhagen, Denmark, on September 19 and 20.

Mohamed Attaoui and Martín Segurola will compete in the men's mile. Attaoui enters the competition following a bronze medal performance in the 800 meters at the European Championships in Birmingham. Marta García will compete in the women's 5,000 meters, marking her debut in road racing for this distance after recently earning a silver medal in the 5,000 meters at the European Championships.

These athletes join the previously announced half-marathon squad, which includes Said Mechaal, Marta Galimany, and Carla Gallardo.
