Spain highlights cultural tourism in El Puerto and Aranjuez
El Puerto de Santa María is hosting a series of free cultural activities to celebrate World Tourism Day on September 27. The program, which runs from September 24 through September 30, includes theatrical routes such as ‘El Puerto Encantado’ and ‘A journey through trade with the Indies,’ as well as guided tours of the historic center, the Monasterio de la Victoria, and El Hospitalito. Outdoor activities like kayak interpretive routes are also scheduled.
In Aranjuez, located near Madrid, visitors can explore the city's cultural landscape, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2001. The area offers historical sites including royal palaces and gardens, as well as nature-based experiences such as boat trips on the Tagus River and hot air balloon rides. The region is also noted for its agricultural traditions and local gastronomy.
