Spain highlights natural landscapes in Cantabria and Asturias

In Cantabria, Playa de Oyambre serves as a significant natural treasure within the Oyambre Natural Park. Spanning two kilometers, the beach is characterized by a large dune system that separates the shoreline from the La Rabía estuary. The protected area covers 5,758 hectares across several municipalities, including Comillas and San Vicente de la Barquera, providing a habitat for various migratory birds, mollusks, and native coastal vegetation.

In Asturias, the town of Ribadesella acts as a gateway to the Picos de Europa. The area features a unique combination of estuaries, the open sea, and green mountain slopes. The town's historic center is pedestrianized, and the Sella River flows through the landscape toward the Cantabrian Sea, offering various coastal walks and natural tide pools at La Atalaya beach.
