Spain hosts initiatives to connect university talent with innovation and business

Various initiatives in Spain are working to connect university talent with the business and innovation sectors.

Universitat Jaume I (UJI) will host its Entrepreneurship Week from September 28 to October 2, 2026. The event, themed ‘Emprén el teu futur’, focuses on translating ideas into concrete projects through multidisciplinary teams. Key highlights include the presentation of UJILab Innovació teams, covering fields such as robotics, 3D-printed prosthetics, and mobility, as well as the debut of UJI Stardust, the university's first rocket team.

In Sant Cugat, the second edition of BIVA Talent Day is scheduled for October 29, 2026. Organized by the Barcelona Innovation Valley Alliance, the event will bring together 40 companies to interact with university students and recent graduates. The day will feature a ‘Connect Zone’ for direct networking and a ‘Mobile World Capital Zone’ offering workshops on resume preparation and selection processes to integrate young talent into the local business ecosystem.
