Spain hosts major literary events in Madrid and Albacete

Spain is hosting significant literary events in Madrid and Albacete. In Madrid, the Autumn Fair of Old and Antique Books is taking place in the Recoletos area until October 12. Organized by the Association of Old Booksellers (Libris) in collaboration with the Madrid City Council, the fair features over 500,000 books from 34 Spanish bookstores. The collection ranges from affordable items starting at one euro to rare pieces such as incunabula, first editions, and manuscripts.

In Albacete, the Provincial Council is organizing a literary celebration at the Teatro de la Paz on October 1. The event will feature a talk and debate with renowned author and philologist Irene Vallejo, known for ‘El infinito en un junco’. The gathering aims to bring together reading clubs from across the province to celebrate literature, poetry, and the shared experience of reading.
