Spain hosts summits on defense, public innovation, and health research

Spain is hosting several high-level summits focused on innovation across the defense, health, and public sectors. In Madrid, the European Commission is convening the EUDIS Business Accelerator to connect startups and scaleups with the operational needs of European Armed Forces, emphasizing the transition of dual-use technologies to security environments.

In Cádiz, the IV Public Innovation Week is gathering representatives from 22 Ibero-American countries to discuss how administrative innovation can improve citizen welfare. This event serves as a precursor to the upcoming 30th Ibero-American Summit scheduled for November.

Additionally, Cádiz is hosting the annual meeting of the Network of Entities Managing Clinical, Hospital, and Biosanitary Research (REGIC). This year's edition has seen record attendance with over 300 professionals aiming to professionalize research management to accelerate scientific impact and competitiveness in the R&D sector.
