Spain implements new educational inclusion and peer tutoring programs
Educational initiatives in Spain are expanding to improve student success and inclusion. In the Murcia region, the Referen-T program has grown to include 24 secondary schools. This peer-tutoring project involves older students supporting younger peers in difficult subjects to prevent early school dropout and foster academic success. The program, which began as a pilot in 10 centers, has expanded due to its effectiveness in improving study habits and school coexistence.
In Galicia, the Aula Senda pilot program is being introduced to promote inclusion within ordinary school centers. This initiative allows students with special educational needs to receive specialized training and support directly within their regular schools, rather than having to travel between different special education centers. The goal is to provide a dignified and integrated educational path for students with diverse needs.
