Spain invests over €27 million in new mental health and senior care facilities

The Community of Madrid will allocate more than €14 million to construct a new mental health centre in Majadahonda. The 6,710‑square‑metre building, linked to the Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro, will provide adult and child‑adolescent services, including a day hospital for adolescents, 58 consultation rooms, group‑therapy spaces and multidisciplinary staff. Construction is set to begin after a forthcoming tender and is scheduled to last 19 months.

Belgian investor Aedifica, together with Eurostate, will invest €13.5 million in a senior residence in Salamanca. The 7,200‑square‑metre complex will contain 160 places and 140 rooms, with modern, energy‑efficient design, and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2028. Neurocare will operate the facility after construction.
