Spain launches Auto+ Plan electric vehicle subsidies for businesses
Spain has announced the opening of Line 2 of the Auto+ Plan, a state incentive program for the purchase of electric and electrified vehicles. Applications for self-employed individuals and companies will open on October 1 at 10:00 and will remain open until December 31, or until the 50-million-euro budget is exhausted. Grants are awarded based on the order of application.
The budget allocates 42 million euros to private companies and 8 million euros to self-employed individuals. For self-employed workers and micro-enterprises, subsidies can reach 7,500 euros for vans and 6,000 euros for passenger cars. Under a specific tier co-financed by the Social Climate Fund, these amounts can increase to 12,000 euros for vans and 7,000 euros for cars.
Eligibility and final amounts depend on the vehicle's degree of electrification, price, and European manufacturing origin. For passenger cars with up to seven seats, the maximum subsidizable price is 45,000 euros before taxes. Self-employed individuals may apply for up to three vehicles, while companies are limited to ten. The program also covers leasing and renting contracts with a minimum duration of three years.
