Spain: Local protests erupt over biomethane plants and migrant reception centers

Following a mass arrival via Tarajal on July 30, the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security, and Migration, Elma Saiz, announced several locations—including Loma Colmenar and the local Hippodrome—to house approximately 1,500 people. Local citizens have voiced strong opposition to these measures, citing concerns over security, cleanliness, and the perceived inadequacy of the government's response.
