Spain names women's squads for EuroVolley 2026 and U21 Eurohockey championship

The Spanish women's senior volleyball team announced an 18‑player roster for its preparation camp ahead of EuroVolley 2026. The squad, selected by coach Pascual Saurín, includes six athletes who came through the Catalan Federation’s ARC Blume programme, such as Ariadna Priante and Jéssica Akamere. Training will begin on 26 July at Los Alcázares (Murcia) with friendly matches against Slovakia and Hungary before the European championship in Baku from 22‑28 August.

Separately, the Spain U21 women’s field hockey team released its roster for the Eurohockey U21 Championship Women to be held in Valencia from 26 July to 1 August. Coach Alejandro Iglesias named players from clubs across the country, including Marta Alcaraz (FC Carlo Ta) and Carmen Fernández de Velasco (Real Sociedad de Tenis). The squad will compete in the tournament under the guidance of a full technical staff.
