Huelva launches €2.3 million municipal road‑asphalting program
The Huelva City Council began the Municipal Asphalt Plan 2026, a historic programme costing €2.3 million. Mayor Pilar Miranda, accompanied by councilor Mariló Ponce, inaugurated the works on Honduras street. The plan will resurface more than 50 streets, divided into three lots: over €768,000 for the La Orden neighbourhood, more than €777,000 for the Centro and Adoratrices area, and roughly €754,000 for the Matadero, El Rocío and Balbueno zones. The mayor called it the biggest asphalting effort in Huelva’s history and a response to long‑standing resident concerns about road quality and safety.
