Spain permits outdoor World Cup 2026 screenings in Almería bars and Ciudad Real plaza
The Almería city council approved a temporary municipal order allowing hospitality venues with terrace permits to place TV screens outdoors for selected football matches. The authorization covers the UD Almería promotion playoff on 6, 9, 14 and 20 June and the entire World Cup 2026 period from 11 June to 19 July, with a condition that broadcasts be shown without amplified sound to avoid disturbing residents.
In Ciudad Real, the Las Terreras square – a bustling area with numerous bars representing Cuban, Venezuelan, Moroccan, Mexican and Colombian influences – has become a focal point for residents to gather and watch the tournament. Local patrons and bar owners describe the plaza as a communal hub where fans follow the matches, discuss team prospects and enjoy the summer atmosphere together.
