Police arrest suspects following separate stabbing incidents in Barcelona and Ciutadella
In Barcelona, a knife fight involving three people in the Rambla del Raval resulted in one individual being wounded. The Guardia Urbana arrested one attacker, but a second suspect escaped. Police are currently conducting a search in the neighborhood with the assistance of the Mossos d'Esquadra. The victim, who sustained wounds to the chest, was transported to a hospital in stable condition. Authorities suspect the incident may be a criminal settlement, as those involved reportedly have prior criminal records.
Separately, in Ciutadella, Menorca, the National Police arrested a 47-year-old man for attempted homicide. The suspect allegedly stabbed a 46-year-old man in the abdomen and elbow following a dispute near Platja Gran. The victim was treated at the Canal Salat Medical Center before being transferred to Hospital Mateu Orfila for advanced care. The suspect was brought before a judge in Ciutadella following his arrest.
