Spain recalls Moroccan TRIA vermicelli due to undeclared mustard

Spanish health authorities have issued a food recall for a specific batch of TRIA brand ‘Cabello de ángel’ (angel hair) vermicelli imported from Morocco. The recall was triggered after inspections revealed the presence of mustard in the product, which was not declared on the ingredient label.

The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) specified that the warning applies exclusively to batch number L10/2025SHN, with a best-before date of October 16, 2027. The product is sold in 500g plastic bags and is intended to be stored at room temperature.

The recall is a precautionary measure for individuals with mustard allergies. Authorities emphasized that the product does not pose a general health risk to the rest of the population, as the issue is related to undeclared allergens rather than microbial contamination or toxicity.

The affected batch has been distributed across several Spanish autonomous communities, including Andalusia, Catalonia, Valencia, Murcia, and the Basque Country, with the possibility of further distribution in other regions.
