Spain regional news: transport costs, legal rulings, and accidents

Various regional developments have been reported in Spain. In Castilla y León, the regional transport federation (Fetracal) has warned of significant economic impacts due to the potential end of fuel subsidies. The organization estimates that if the central government does not approve a new support package by September 30, diesel prices could rise by up to 24 cents per liter, potentially costing a single truck an additional 11,500 euros annually.

In legal news, the Provincial Court of León has acquitted several companies and individuals, including mining entrepreneurs, in a case involving alleged multi-million euro coal fraud between 2011 and 2013. The court ruled that the primary incriminating evidence was obtained through illegal searches that violated fundamental rights to the inviolability of the home.

In Burgos, a fatal workplace accident occurred in the Gamonal industrial estate, where a worker in his 40s died after falling from a warehouse roof during maintenance work. Additionally, a pedestrian was injured in a car accident in the same neighborhood.
