Spain releases second list of fertilizer subsidy beneficiaries
The Spanish Fund for Agricultural Guarantees (FEGA) has released a second provisional list of potential beneficiaries for extraordinary aid intended to compensate farmers for rising fertilizer costs. This new list includes 6,473 agricultural holders, with total aid amounts approaching 10 million euros.
To receive the funds, listed farmers must expressly accept the aid through the FEGA electronic office. Failure to do so within the established timeframe will be interpreted as a waiver of the aid. The deadline for acceptance and for reporting any material errors in personal or identification data is October 26, 2026.
By accepting, beneficiaries make a responsible declaration that they have purchased or will purchase fertilizers for their farms after March 1, 2026. Additionally, recipients are required to keep all purchase invoices for ten years from the date of the grant to allow for potential administrative verification.
