Catalonia pallet‑theft gang re‑arrested in Tarragona
The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested a minor and three men aged 48, 58 and 59 in Tarragona as part of a criminal group that specializes in stealing industrial pallets. Police linked the suspects to four recent thefts at three warehouses in Constantí, carried out on 19 May, 4 June and 10 June, where they removed roughly a hundred pallets valued at over €1,000 each. The operation also included a June 4 incident in which about 75 pallets worth more than €600 were taken from another site.
The same individuals had been detained on 10 June for similar robberies across several Catalan comarques, including Alt Camp, Conca de Barberà, Tarragonès and Baix Llobregat, in offenses totaling about €10,900. Investigators say the gang used multiple vans and pretended to be collecting cardboard to avoid suspicion. The suspects have extensive criminal records, with more than 140 prior offences combined. The minor was released pending a court appearance, while the three adults were placed under judicial custody. The investigation remains ongoing, with police warning of possible further arrests.
