Spain road closures scheduled for A-6 and A-8 highways

The Spanish Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has announced several nocturnal traffic restrictions on the A-6 highway to perform maintenance on ventilation systems in the Villafranca, Trabadelo, and Piedrafita do Cebreiro tunnels. These works will take place between the night of Monday, October 26, and the early morning of Friday, October 30, affecting kilometers 407 to 432 in the provinces of León and Lugo. Traffic will be diverted via the N-6 road, and vehicles carrying dangerous goods will be prohibited from the Villafranca tunnel on the N-6.

Additionally, roadworks to improve the pavement on the A-8 Cantabrian Highway near Villaviciosa will cause traffic diversions toward Santander. These restrictions include the closure of an access ramp this Friday and full carriageway closures during the early hours of Thursday, October 29, and Friday, October 30. Drivers will be redirected through local routes in Villaviciosa or via the A-64 toward Sariego depending on the specific schedule.
