Spain beats France 2-0 to book place in World Cup 2026 final

Spain defeated France 2‑0 in the World Cup 2026 semifinal at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas. Mikel Oyarzabal scored from the penalty spot after a foul on Lamine Yamal, and Pedro Porro added a second with a strike following a combination with Dani Olmo. France’s attack, featuring Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé and Michael Olise, was neutralised; William Saliba left the match injured and was replaced by Maxence Lacroix.

The victory sends La Roja to the tournament final, where they will meet the winner of the Argentina–England semifinal. It also marks Spain’s 37th consecutive unbeaten match, equalling Italy’s record and surpassing Argentina’s previous streak. This is Spain’s second World Cup final appearance, the first since their 2010 triumph.
