Spain security forces data breach affects 1,000 personnel

The professional association Justicia Guardia Civil (Jucil) has filed a complaint with Spain’s Audiencia Nacional following a massive leak of sensitive personal data. The breach affects approximately 1,000 members of the security forces, including national police, civil guards, and military personnel.

The compromised document is nearly 500 pages long and contains names, photographs, telephone numbers, Telegram identifiers, and personal contact information. The file features a Russian-language header titled ‘List of Spanish security forces.’ While specialized press has attributed the leak to the pro-Russian hacking group NoName057, Spanish authorities have not yet officially confirmed this.

In response, the National Police and the Centro Nacional de Inteligencia (CNI) have launched investigations to determine the origin of the breach and whether the data was stolen via illegal intrusions into institutional databases, mobile devices, or personal accounts. Jucil is demanding that authorities identify those responsible and take measures to block access to the leaked file.
