Spain sees surge of burger festivals in Mallorca and Alcoy this June

Mallorca is hosting two concurrent burger festivals in June. The Mallorca Burger Fest runs over two consecutive weekends (June 11‑14 and June 18‑21) with 19 food trucks offering locally sourced burgers, a jury‑and‑public vote for the best burger, live music, children’s activities and a Hyundai car giveaway, all free of charge. At the same time, The Champions Burger takes over the Son Moix arena from June 20 to July 5, featuring a selection of Spain’s most viral burger makers and open daily until capacity is reached.

In mainland Spain, the town of Alcoy has turned Plaza Al‑Azraq into a gourmet burger hub from today until June 21 with The Burger Cup. The free event showcases popular burger brands, live DJs, family‑friendly activities, pet‑friendly zones and QR‑based voting for the favorite burger, culminating in an awards ceremony. Sponsors include the local council, Amstel, Coca‑Cola and Just Eat.
