Spain showcases new electric bike and cable‑free boat charging technology

Spanish bicycle maker Massi introduced the Sonic RC, a limited‑edition road e‑bike equipped with a Polini E‑P3+ EVO2 GP motor delivering up to 90 Nm of torque and 650 W of power, a 500 Wh battery and a dedicated app for ride‑mode customization. Production is capped at 3,000 numbered units worldwide.

In Barcelona, the CASFEM consortium demonstrated a pioneering cable‑free inductive charging system for electric vessels. Developed by Magnetika and V2 Group, the technology uses a transmitter installed at the port and a receiver on a 3‑D‑printed catamaran, achieving 93 % charging efficiency and offering a safer, more reliable solution for maritime electrification.
