Spain to host England in Nations League showdown at Madrid's Metropolitano
Spain's men's national football team will face England at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano in Madrid on 15 November 2026, the final match of Group 3 in the UEFA Nations League. Both sides are semifinalists from the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, and the result could decide which team reaches the competition's fourth Final Four.
The Metropolitano, with a capacity of 70,692, has been Spain's unbeaten venue in recent years, recording two wins and a draw. The two teams have met 28 times historically, with England holding a slight edge (13 wins to Spain's 11) and four draws. Spain entered the match as the reigning Euro 2024 champions, having defeated England 2‑1 in the final.
Earlier in the campaign, Spain will travel to Wembley on 26 September for the first leg, before meeting Croatia on 29 September in Seville. The November fixture follows a schedule that also includes the Czech Republic in the group.
