Spain to host major volunteering training events in Cuenca and Toro

Spain will host two significant volunteering events in October. In Cuenca, the Plataforma de Voluntariado de España (PVE) will hold its Autumn School on October 22 and 23. Titled ‘Volunteering, refuge of European democratic values’, the event focuses on solidarity within a polarized global context. The program includes a lecture by philosopher José Antonio Marina, discussions on the invisible traces of poverty, and the ethical use of artificial intelligence.

In Toro, the ASPACE Castilla y León Regional Volunteering Meeting is scheduled for October 24. This gathering aims to provide practical training and exchange experiences among collaborators working with people with cerebral palsy. A central workshop, ‘And you, what would you do?’, will address how to provide support that respects individual autonomy and decision-making without being overprotective.
