Spain to issue 50,000 commemorative coins celebrating 2026 World Cup win

Spain will mint a limited series of up to 50,000 commemorative coins to mark its second FIFA World Cup title, secured on 19 July 2026 when La Roja defeated Argentina 1‑0 after extra time. The coins, produced by the Royal Mint (Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre), have a face value of €5 but will be sold for €60.33 each (pre‑VAT).

The obverse features a portrait of King Felipe VI with the legend “FELIPE VI REY DE ESPAÑA” and the year 2026, surrounded by a pearl‑like border. The reverse displays the official FIFA 2026 World Cup logo and the inscription “CAMPEONES DEL MUNDO” (Champions of the World). The issue is intended for football fans, collectors and those wishing to own a permanent reminder of the historic triumph.
