Spain tourism expands with new luxury resorts and 2027 bookings
Spain is set to see significant developments in its luxury and tourism sectors. In the summer of 2026, two major luxury resorts are scheduled to open: the Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra in Calvià, Mallorca, and the Angsana Real de la Quintas in Marbella on the Costa del Sol.
The Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra will feature 131 rooms, suites, and casitas with Mediterranean views. The resort includes high-end dining options, such as the Matsuhisa Nikkei restaurant by chef Nobu Matsuhisa and Leña by Dani García.
In the broader travel market, Anex Group brands—including Anex Tour, Bucher Reisen, Neckermann Reisen, and Öger Tours—have released approximately 60% of their summer 2027 hotel programs. The offering covers about 12,000 hotels across 42 countries, with a primary focus on Mediterranean destinations like Spain, Greece, and Turkey. To support this, the group has increased flight capacities to Mediterranean destinations outside of Turkey by roughly 40% through partnerships with airlines such as Eurowings and Condor.
