Spain upgrades waste treatment with projects in Segovia and Tenerife

Reverter Industries has designed, supplied, manufactured and installed a complete pre‑treatment line and a refining line for the organic fraction at the Los Huertos waste‑treatment centre in Segovia. The new equipment includes bag openers, feeders, sieves, metal separators and refining units intended to improve the quality of the compost produced from separately collected biowaste.

The Cabildo of Tenerife is investing €3.5 million to convert the Malpaso transfer plant in Arona into a logistics hub. The upgrade adds a bulky‑waste treatment and shredding line, a clean‑point facility and a dedicated area where caravans can empty grey‑water and sewage tanks and receive fresh water. The centre will serve seven municipalities in the island’s southwest and is part of a broader push for more efficient waste management on the island.
