Spain wins EuroSUP 2026 Stand Up Paddle European Championship
Spain has reclaimed the European Stand Up Paddle (EuroSUP) national team title following the conclusion of the EuroSUP 2026 championship in Melilla. The victory was secured during the Team Relay event, where the Spanish squad—comprising Aarón Sánchez, Esperanza Barreras, Rubén Cantoral, and Alba Alonso—finished ahead of Italy and France.
The final standings placed Spain in first, followed by France in second, Italy in third, and Denmark in fourth. This result allows Spain to revalidate the title they previously won three years ago in Peniche, Portugal.
Individual highlights from the competition included Duna Gordillo winning the Women's Open Technical category and Aarón Sánchez taking second place in the Men's Open. In the long-distance race held at La Hípica, Nicolò Ricco won the Men's Absolute category, while Cecilia Pampinella secured the victory in the Women's Absolute category.
