Spain women's roller hockey team defeats France 8-0

The Spanish women's national roller hockey team began their defense of the World Championship title with an 8-0 victory over France in Asunción, Paraguay. The reigning champions controlled the match from the start, despite reports of irregular track conditions that caused excessive slipperiness.

Victòria Porta led the offensive effort with three goals. Other scorers included María Sanjurjo, who netted a double, Aina Florenza, Sara Roces, and Mariona Colomer. The Spanish team, coached by Sergi Macià, maintained dominance throughout the encounter to secure a comfortable opening win.

Spain's next scheduled match is against Chile, followed by a Group A matchup against Argentina.
