Spain's adults‑only hotels boom as prices hit €166 per night

The segment of adults‑only hotels in Spain has become a fast‑growing niche of the hospitality market. According to industry data, the average nightly rate for such properties now stands at €166, and bookings by couples rose 14% after the pandemic, increasing their share from 51% of total guests in 2020 to 65% in 2021. Major chains such as Meliá and H10 have created dedicated adults‑only portfolios, while specialised platforms like “Adults Only Holidays” and “No me molesten” cater exclusively to this clientele.

At the same time, new boutique concepts are emerging. The Pink Elephant Hotel, opened by Baroness Thyssen in the coastal town of S’Agaró, offers nine sea‑view rooms for adults only, combining art‑focused design, Mediterranean cuisine and upscale amenities such as a private cinema, spa, and indoor‑outdoor pools. The property exemplifies the trend toward intimate, high‑end experiences aimed at adult travellers seeking exclusivity and relaxation.
