Spain's Almería Summer Courses Target Agrotourism Planning and AI‑Driven Agriculture

At the University of Almería’s summer course in Roquetas de Mar, tourism inspector Antonio Juan López warned that agrotourism in Almería is stagnant and poorly visible. He emphasized the need for thorough planning and management tools to improve profitability and reduce bureaucratic hurdles for rural entrepreneurs.

During the same event, Minister Óscar López highlighted the transformative potential of artificial intelligence for Spanish agriculture. He noted Spain’s strong ICT talent pool and outlined digital initiatives, such as satellite livestock tracking and AI‑based harvest timing, aimed at keeping the country competitive in the global agro‑food sector.
