Spain's artisanal jewelry sector sees growth in sterling silver demand

The artisanal goldsmithing sector in Spain is experiencing a period of growth, driven by a consumer shift toward sustainability, durability, and unique, handcrafted pieces over mass-produced items.

According to data from the DBK Sectoral Observatory of Informa, the retail jewelry and watch market has exceeded 2.1 billion euros, following several years of consecutive annual growth exceeding 6%. Sterling silver (925) has emerged as a preferred material for contemporary designers due to its versatility, shine, and more affordable price point compared to gold, making high-end jewelry accessible to a broader audience.

Modern workshops are increasingly combining traditional techniques with technical innovation to improve efficiency while maintaining their artisanal identity.
