Spain's Bermeo and A Guarda launch new summer music festivals

The inaugural Xixili Festibala will take place on October 2‑3 in Bermeo, Bizkaia, using the Esplanade of the Bermeo Cemetery as its venue. Organized by VVSSNN with municipal support, the free‑access daytime stage (Kresala Gunea) runs until 5 p.m., while the paid area shifts identity throughout the day, offering live‑band performances in Itsas Soinua Gunea and electronic DJ sets in Elektronikoa Gunea. The line‑up includes Iseo & Dodosound, Neomak, Belako, Supercremalleras, Olatz Salvador, Oibaf, Desaint and Ke Lepo & Felix Buff, celebrating Basque mythology and local culture.

Galifornia Beat, a two‑day urban‑culture event, will serve as a preview for the O Marisquiño festival on July 31 and August 1 in A Guarda, O Baixo Miño. The free‑entry programme features live concerts by Lie Detectors, Pelazo, Boston Babies, Thee Cha Cha Chas, Santos Morcegos!!!, Los Retumbes, Youcanthide, Crema Witch, Puto, Unfinished Grounds and Visera, plus DJ sessions by Pruden and Furry Destroyer. The festival also hosts skate‑boarding contests, street‑football, parkour, graffiti workshops and a food‑truck zone, aiming to attract all ages and skill levels.
