Spain's Blanca and Villacarriedo host summer music festivals

The fifth edition of the 'Música en el Valle' festival in Blanca, Murcia, opened on 1 August with the concert of Los Parrandboleros. Subsequent events include Macondo Cuarteto, the Ensemble of the Conservatory Massotti and the Orchestra of the Valle de Ricote, culminating on 5 December with a performance by Diana Navarro and the Orchestra of the Valle de Ricote at Teatro Victoria.

In Cantabria, the International Festival of Villacarriedo will take place on 4 August in the gardens of the Palacio de Soñanes. The programme features a special concert by Jimmy Barnatán and Sergio González as part of the Cantabria Music Rally, and highlights social‑cultural initiatives such as the Moda re partnership for textile recycling and solidarity economics.
