Spain's Castellón province launches low‑cost novilladas as Fuente Palmera's children's bull run breaks scarf sales

The Provincial Council of Castellón officially unveiled the posters for two novilladas without picadors to be held in Benassal on 4 September and Morella on 13 September. Part of the ongoing "Toros a 1 euro" programme, the events aim to make bullfighting accessible by charging a symbolic fee and promoting young talent. Organisers include Tauromanagement, Eventos Mare Nostrum and ToroGestión360, with support from local municipalities.

In Fuente Palmera, the Círculo Taurino presented the poster for the seventh edition of its children’s bull‑run (Encierro Infantil) scheduled for 15 August. The ceremony featured the award ceremony for the "Mi amigo el toro" drawing contest, where Hugo Romero Ruiz won the top prize. Sales of solidarity scarves have already reached a record 1,200 units, with proceeds earmarked for the family of Africa Pineda Armada.
