Spain's CEOE to hold early leadership meeting and unveil IBEX 35 tax contribution report
Antonio Garamendi, president of Spain's business confederation CEOE, has called an extraordinary meeting of the organization’s top members for 1 July, two weeks before the previously scheduled date. The session will include the election of a new CEOE president ahead of the November congress, allowing candidates to register and the electoral process to be completed well in advance.
On 8 July, the CEOE headquarters will host a presentation by PwC of a new report on the total fiscal contribution of the IBEX 35 companies. The event will feature senior tax officials from Santander, Acciona and Endesa, who will discuss the methodology that accounts for corporate income tax, VAT, payroll taxes, social‑security contributions and local levies. The study aims to provide a comprehensive picture of how Spain’s largest listed firms fund public budgets, adding data to ongoing debates over corporate tax rates and the impact of the OECD’s global minimum tax.
