Mexico and Caribbean regions brace for heavy rain, heat and storms June 28‑29, 2026

Mexico faces intense precipitation on June 28‑29, with Veracruz warned of 50‑75 mm rain, strong winds, possible flooding and landslides. Spain’s Andalusia, Catalonia and the broader peninsula will endure a heatwave with temperatures reaching 40 °C and isolated strong thunderstorms with hail in eastern and southern areas. Paraguay’s central departments face a weather warning for thunderstorms, strong winds up to 90 km/h and possible hail. These widespread forecasts highlight the combined risk of heat stress, heavy rain, and severe thunderstorms across the affected regions.
